Web channels, in-app browser and JavaScript

Some channels don’t stream a direct video but are watched through a web page. The app lets you choose how to open them.

Step by step

1. Open Settings and go to the Browser section.
2. In-app or external browser. By default, web channels open inside the app. Turn on Use external browser if you prefer to open them in Chrome or Firefox.
3. JavaScript. Turn on Enable JavaScript to allow scripts in the in-app browser. It’s required for some web channels that won’t load without it.

Tips

• If a web channel goes blank or won’t start, try enabling JavaScript.
• The external browser can offer more compatibility, but it takes you out of the app and back again.
• If a channel still won’t play, check channel not working.
